Patch notes

v0.5.4

release

A fresh Galaxy 1 campaign, sector conquest, a fuller galaxy, and a new endgame hunt

Important

  • galaxy Your saves start over from zero for this update, so every pilot begins the new Galaxy 1 campaign on equal footing.

New

  • galaxy Conquer Galaxy 1 sector by sector: complete local objectives, unlock the next sector when ready, and earn a permanent bonus for each conquered sector.
  • galaxy Every sector is now worth exploring. Where the map used to thin out as you climbed, each sector holds eight to ten places to visit, all ten of them offer something to mine, and the metals you pull out follow one clear scale from the first sector to the last.
  • loot The rarest ship modules can now be earned piece by piece from the toughest elite opponents in every sector.
  • combat Defeating the final-sector boss can now move your ship project toward the best ships in the game.

Fixes

  • combat Combat credit rewards have been rebuilt so tougher enemies pay what they are worth.
  • galaxy Two sectors showed an asteroid belt that gave nothing back when you scanned it. Those belts now hold real deposits.

v0.5.3

release

3 new features, 2 fixes

New

  • wiki The wiki now teaches the game instead of only listing its contents. New guides walk through the first hours — creating your pilot, your first scan and mining run, your first fight and wreck recovery, refining and station cargo, and your first ship project — alongside new sections for ships, fleets, systems, economy, research and the bestiary. Search reaches much further, every number shown is the one the game actually computes, and each page states which version it describes.
  • site The official site now opens on an operations atlas — four illustrated cards showing what you really do out there, from charting and mining to industry and fleets. The media page also loads faster, showing a trailer frame and playing only when you ask it to.
  • login The sign-in screen now shows which build you are playing, down in the bottom-left corner. Quote it when you report something and we will know exactly what you were looking at.

Fixes

  • items Relic fragments show their proper artwork again.
  • privacy The privacy policy now explains that a campaign channel label may be kept on your device for up to 30 days. It is not a session or account identifier.
